About Us

Peter Mc Guire was born in Limerick in 1971. After studying architecture in Bolton Street D.I.T. for one year, he decided to move to the National College of Art and Design where there would be more chance of getting stuck into a material and gaining control of it. With a keen interest in drawing and painting, Peter explored the area of stained glass as an applicable material.

In the 1990s glass was fast becoming a strong fabric for building purposes. This was accentuated by a huge increase in the construction industry in Ireland and technological advancements in the glass industry. Peter worked for various stained glass firms and sculptors in Ireland and Itely before establishing a studio of his own for creation of glass artwork.

Peter has been manipulating glass as an artistic medium to enhance buildings, both domestic and commercial to emphasise the need for art work incorporated into building, using it's newest flexible material: glass.
